Word Sculptures
by Janet Smith Warfield

Mind Haiku
Words twist and distort
the perfect imperfection -
Wholeness divided.

Dawn
A cardinal trills
its welcoming reveille
through stillness of mind.

Rain
Tears dampen my cheek
washing the pain from my soul.
Refreshing shower!

Death
Do not mourn death for
without it you could not grow
to your fullest height.

Rebirth
Mourn death. Then transform
the energy of your grief
to new creation.

If
Thought starts with premise.
How can man then think thought is
universal truth?

Thought starts with premise.
Is not thought naught but godlike
creativity?

Spring
Fragile leaflets veil
stark naked winter branches -
whispers of spring lace!
